We participate in the development of aviation by training human and competent pilots through safe, flexible and personalized supervision.
I started my career in aviation at 16 years old. By the age of 23, I was already founding a flight school "Aéroclub TourAile" in Baie-Comeau.
Pilot on the KingAir 200 for 2 years, then Captain on the Jeetstream 32 and pilot on the B1900. Director of Aerial Operations. Several thousands flight hours unde rmy belt.
Test pilot on the Level D Simulator for the A320 and B737-800.
Now, Accountable Executive and CEO of the Académie de l'Aviation St-Hyacinthe.
In addition to my pilot's experience, I am also Microsoft Certified, Programmer, Senior Network Administrator.
I have always been passionate about teaching, be it teaching classes at Cégep, developing a training program (computer program), or as a flight instructor (from class 4 to class 1).
My passion today: Training new instructors, as well as sharing my experience and knowledge with those who are in the aviation world.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
As far as I remember, I've always had a passion for aviation. As a kid, I was going to the local airfield just to see the planes taking off to the skies, coming back on earth, or just have the chance to meet and talk with the pilots.
Over the years, I was lucky enough to fly various planes, and to meet numerous passionnate airmen.
It was obvious for me at the end of my commercial pilot licence, here in Canada, to become a flight instructor, and finally be able to share that passion with the newest pilots, and help people reach their childhood dream.
It is with a huge pleasure that I will welcome you and introduce you to the most beautiful place on Earth : the Skies.
Aviation is limitless. Literally. We find ourselves moving through endless sky; hard to do better then that. As for myself, I was 18 years old when I first got a look of the Earth from above. The greatest gift of all. I believe that’s the beauty of aviation, once you give it a try it’s instantaneous. You always want more. Try it for yourself. Countless sacrifices later, here I am as a flight instructor. Being an instructor allows me to share my passion to a newer generation of pilots. Being able to contribute to such an achievement in one’s pilot career is an absolute privilege I cherish everyday.
My name is Richard Quignon, I am a Class 2 Flight Instructor as well as an airline pilot, being a First Officer on the Dash-8 for a Quebec' airline.
When I was 5, I took a flight for the first time between Paris and Montral, and I was lucky enough to be able to see the cockpit in flight. At this moment my passion for aviation just begun.
I decided to follow my path by myself, saving on money to be able to pay my first flight hours in France as I was 17, and I then decided to come to Quebec at 20 to write the rest of my pilot story.
I then became a flight instructor in 2018, First Officer on the Twin Otter in 2019, and finally a Dash-8 First Officer in 2021. That passion for flying never left me, and up to that date it reveals my best on an everyday basis : discipline, rigor, professionalism, but above all the joy of living.
That's why I'm still flight instruction, to share my passion and my knowledge, and help as many people as possible to reach their dream.
I'm looking forward to fly with you and teach you soon!
I can't even remember when aviation became a passion for me.
Charles Lindbergh disait que “Adventure lay in each puff of wind”
The first time I was able to take control of an airplane was on a discovery flight that I was offered on my 18th birthday. After a private pilot licence in France, I wanted to come and experience aviation in Quebec. 5 years later, with just over 1,500 hours of flight time, I am now a Class 2 single-engine flight instructor and ...
I had the pleasure of flying at Lac Saint-Jean, Trois-Rivières, Saint-Hubert and now here in Saint-Hyacinthe. Every new base is a new challenge that I take to heart.
Having a few hours of aerobatics under my name, I won't shy away from a challenge.
Come live your dream as I am so fortunate to live mine, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
